A Healthier World Starts at Home

I’m a Grandma on a mission! My beautiful granddaughter Miya came along a bit earlier than I was expecting making me a Grandma at 45!!

Her arrival got me thinking about the state of the environment and how no one seemed to know what to do to prevent the deterioration of it. It seems like an overwhelming task to ‘save the world!’

So I started working with a company which sold over 1,000 everyday household products which were both eco and ethical. During the 7 years, I was with Wikaniko, I learnt about all things eco and what could easily be done to make lifestyles healthier. I also learnt how many bigger, established companies were using products and procedures which were out of date and definitely not acceptable for moving forward within the required urgency of environmental practices.

My ethos has always been doing something is better than nothing.

I often hear the argument about no one person can change the world, so what is the point in trying? I totally agree that no one person can save the World, but if someone were to reduce their environment to their own home, everyone can change everything!

So, even though Wikaniko has closed, I have pivoted and now my successful brand sells eco and ethical gifts to individuals and corporates.

Although I have lived with Multiple Sclerosis for over 20 years, this does not allow me to dampen my quest to make the future a safer one for Miya and future generations.
