sodacrystals edited

Soda crystals are particularly effective at cutting through grease, softening water, and removing dirt and stains. Here are 25 practical uses for soda crystals around the home.

Kitchen Cleaning

Use a cupful each of Borax Substitute, Bicarbonate of Soda and Cooking Salt to make an effective multi-purpose scourer. Mix this with some White Vinegar or lemon juice for extra grease removal and cleaning power.

Pour a strong solution of Soda Crystals dissolved in hot water through the plughole once a week. Alternatively, place a large mug full of Soda Crystals down the plughole and leave it to treat and dissolve slowly overnight. Then flush through with very hot or boiling water.

Laundry & Washing

Add half a cup of Soda Crystals to your wash load to soften the water. It also means you will need to use less of your usual powder.

  1. Boost your normal washing detergent.
  2. Pre-soak heavily soiled clothing.
  3. Remove stubborn stains before washing.
  4. Soften hard water in the washing machine.

Bathroom Cleaning
